October 12, 2025

This Wednesday is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  We ask God to tenderly hold in His care those of us whose arms ache with emptiness and hearts carry deep sorrow.  As we quietly carry this grief year after year, may God’s presence meet us in our pain and bring hope.

We continue to pray for Ron & Marty Kixmiller (1) following Marty’s recent surgery,  asking God to provide her with improved strength and complete healing.

Erwin & Alma Kooistra (5) were involved in a car accident this past week.  We thank the Lord for watching over them as their car was a total loss but they were able to walk away with no injuries.

Kyson Van Surksum (7) will be leaving on Wednesday for basic training in South Carolina with the Army National Guard.  Please keep him and his family in prayer as he begins this new journey.

We continue to remember those battling cancer and ask God to fill them and their families with hope and courage.

  • Elly Maas (6) had a scan this past week which showed 2 new spots on her liver. She will now receive a new form of chemo which we pray will be effective.
  • Pastor Dan De Groot (10) learned from his most recent scans that his liver continues to look good. However, they did find two new areas of concern that will need to be addressed.

We thank God for carrying Carla Walhof through some hard days following her bone marrow transplant.  She is doing better and dismissal plans are being made.

Thank you to my church family for the many acts of kindness, visits, prayers, and food brought in following my recent injury.  Recovery is slow, but I am thankful to be this far.             Elaine Wynia
